Mindfulness

Mindfulness is present, non-judging attention and comprises the heart of Buddhist meditation. Mindfulness can be maintained throughout our daily activities. As mindfulness deepens, there is increased capacity for intimacy with the life within and around us. We are able to see through our conditioned behaviours and thoughts, and discover compassion, equanimity and freedom in our lives.

Those of you who have taken the Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Course based on the work of Jon Kabat-Zinn will be familiar with the term "mindfulness". The teachings of the Buddhist tradition can help us keep our mindfulness practice alive.

"The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes." - Marcel Proust
